Terms of Service
Last updated 15 August 2026
These terms cover DemonBot and the Velvet Inferno staff console — the public apply form, feed requests, the Discord bot, and the staff desk. By using any of that, you agree to this page. If you do not, do not apply, do not sign in, and do not stay in the Discord.
Velvet Inferno is a private community. Membership is a privilege, not a right. We can refuse, remove, or ban anyone.
Who this is for:
You must be 18 or older. The apply form asks you to confirm that. We do not knowingly take data from anyone under 18. If we learn someone is under 18, we delete their application and remove them from the guild.
The gate:
When you apply or join the Discord:
You receive the unverified role and are locked to a staff holding channel.
Staff open a ticket and read what you wrote.
If approved, you are given the Velvet Inferno role and unlocked from holding.
If denied, staff draft a note, we try to send it as a direct message, and you are banned from the guild.
Staff decide. There is no appeal process built into DemonBot. You may ask a staff member in good faith; they are not required to reverse a decision.
What you may not do:
Lie on an application, or apply from a throwaway meant to evade a ban.
Harass applicants, staff, or members in holding or anywhere else.
Attempt to break, scrape, or overload DemonBot or the Discord guild.
Share someone else’s ticket, denial note, or authenticator codes.
Use the staff console if you are not staff.
Staff:
Staff accounts are for people the owner invited. Reviewers handle tickets. Admins can change feeds and Discord settings. The owner can transfer the desk. You must keep your password and authenticator private. Emergency backup codes are yours to print and store; losing them can lock you out.
Actions you take in the console — grants, bans, notes, feed changes — are logged. Do not use staff tools to settle personal scores.
Feeds:
Suggesting a YouTube or Twitch channel does not guarantee it will be announced. Staff choose the list. We may remove a channel at any time. Creators we announce are not automatically members, and members are not automatically announced.
The service itself:
DemonBot is provided as-is. Discord can be down. Our host can be down. Simulation mode may be on, in which case the ledger updates and Discord does not. We are not liable for a missed announcement, a failed DM, a ban that Discord rejects, or time you spent in holding.
These terms do not replace Discord’s own Terms of Service. If the two conflict inside the guild, Discord’s rules still apply to the platform; ours apply to whether you stay in Velvet Inferno.
Changes:
We can update this page. The date at the top is the current version. Continuing to use DemonBot or remaining in Velvet Inferno after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be noted here.
Contact:
Questions about these terms go to Velvet Inferno staff — in Discord, or through whatever contact they publish on the community site. There is no automated legal inbox in DemonBot.
How we handle the data you give us is in the Privacy Policy.
